According to a 1995 study, a weight gain of 18 to 24 pounds nearly tripled the risk for type 2 diabetes. Especially, feelings of sadness, depression, worthlessness or hopelessness can make you binge unnecessarily and lead to weight gain. As a result, you will be more vulnerable to health problems like diabetes.

2. Skip breakfast
Another habit that can cause diabetes is skipping breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you starve yourself until lunch, it will disrupt blood sugar control and push yourself towards lifestyle problems like diabetes. So you should eat breakfast to increase your chances of maintaining uniform sugar levels throughout the day.
