You should shampoo every other day instead of every day because it can cause irritations in the scalp. You can try an all-natural shampoo, a good-quality one or choose a shampoo that suits your hair type. You also need to make sure your hair product doesn't contain any alcohol, which dries out your hair and causes it to become brittle and crack. Having the shampoo that works the best for your hair type will definitely keep your tresses healthy.


2. Use conditioner

After cleansing your hair and scalp, you should use a conditioner, which smoothes out the cuticle by resting on the surface of the hair. It is very important to maintain the moisture balance in your hair. Depending on your hair type, you need to choose the right product for best results. When you condition, remember to apply conditioner about 2-3 inches away from your scalp to the ends, and comb it through your hair with a wide-tooth comb.

5. Avoid the use of blow dryer

Hair can sustain heat damage easily, so try not to blow dry your hair. But if you must use it, you should keep it on the low heat setting. You should avoid swimming in a pool without a swimming cap because the chlorine is very harmful for hair.
